In this GQ interview of Shohei Ohtani, I was able to identify たりたり, と思う, ~し, lots of new and old vocabulary, and longer, complex sentences. I was able to pick out い and な adjectives, how Shohei used non-native verbs ("texting"), counters (10本). Culturally, I noticed a difference, with the help of the comments section, that Shohei's 大切なessentials are all purposeful, leading him to become a better athlete. If you were to look at other American athletes, not many would have nearly all their essentials geared towards making them a better athlete, at least in my opinion.
